THE MARATHON OF EVENTS.. YES WE ARE ALIVE…

Wow October has always been a month of major events but mom and her crew I think had a death wish this year…. Check out the events and the pictures.

It all started with a HAUTE DOG… We had a fabulous night at the Historic DON VICENTE INN in Ybor. We had food, music, doggie fashion show (all the doggie clothes was supplied by THE WAG STORE on Davis Island.. Thanks Jennifer..) and a silent auction benefiting St. Francis Animal Rescue and we thank them for letting us be a sponsor. Mom, Manuela and Yani all had a blast.

Then they did the pumpkin patch in Hyde Park. Mom even took Ariel with her since she was watching her that weekend. Say hi Ariel!!! Wow this year everyone went over the top with the customes… and all the money raised went to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay…check it out..

Next up was a biggie… PASSION FOR PETS… this event was great and it was a breakfast and a total of $110,000 was raised for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. WOW… and Tailored Pet Sitting raised $1,000 from clients and was a sponsor…. THANK YOU. Mom, Manuela, Lisa and Yani all had a blast even though it was early in the morning. Heck they were up anyway walking dogs!!!

That same day Mom and Yani managed to do a Yappi Hour at Seaport Condos @ Channel Side one of their favorite monthly events. Lots of food, drinks, goodie bags, and dogs dressed up. Jennifer from the WAG Store was there with them and they all had a blast.

Two days later mom and Yani took off to Al Lopez park to do Stride for Strays for ACT (Animal Coalition of Tampa. Lots of people and mom got to see lots of clients that were walking for the cause. Lots of money was raised and everyone was super happy…

That same day they took off to the Wag store on Davis island for their Halloween party and it was great, check it out. Thanks Jennifer for inviting us and letting us hang out with everyone.

Yes there is still more…. On Sunday Mc Dintos Irish Bar had their annual Hair of the Dog event for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.. Mom, Manuela and Yani all were there to have fun, see lots of clients and raise some money.. I think mom even had a drink that night, by that time you guys really needed to see if she was even alive!!!

Then the crew had a few days to get ready for the big event of the year which was our 2nd Annual fundraiser for the Humane Society at Davis island.

It was great but due to a storm coming in they had a few issues with the wind, but that did not keep the clients and other people away and they still showed up and came with all their donations… Thank you so much we are having a total blast…

This past Sunday Sept 27th. Mom’s company, Tailored Pet Sitting was invited to participate in the Tampa Woman’s Club Doggie Fashion Show. Not even the scatter rain showers diverted anyone from attending and “Strutting their Stuff” down the red carpet. The proceeds were donated to the Tampa Humane Society, who was there with lots of 4-legged friends looking for homes. There was refreshments, face painting and doggie buffet (mom, sadly did not bring us anything… bad, bad mom!). We had all types of costumes from Divas, Ballerinas, Batman and Robin Combo, to bumble bees, Biker-guy, and preppy Chihuahuas.

The whole event was a total hit! We thank the TWC for inviting us to it, and hope that they do many more in the future.

On one of her daily walks mom was being watched by this….

yup a real cute owl… Please don’t forget that if you come across a baby owl or any other wild animal hurt or that he/she got away from it’s nest, you can drop it off at the FVS clinic 813-933-8944 and they will take it off your hands. They have a wild area that they help out with until a rescue group comes and picks them up…

Judge orders Pomeranian to leave Colo. resort town

ASPEN, Colo. – A Pomeranian has been kicked out of a Colorado resort town after getting in trouble for biting and other bad behavior.

Municipal Judge Brooke Peterson told the dog’s owner, Melinda Goldrich, that if the dog is seen again in Aspen, it will be rounded up by animal control officers and put to death. Goldrich was in court Wednesday on a charge of keeping a vicious dog.

An Aspen fitness club employee says the Pomeranian, named Gizmo, bit her in August while it was tied to a fence. The dog served 10 days in an animal shelter.

Goldrich had been under a court order to not leave Gizmo unattended after the dog bit another person in February. She also was cited in 2006 for the animal’s bad behavior.

An out-of-town friend has offered to take the dog.

Pomeranians are long-haired and small, typically 3 to 7 pounds.

So see pit bulls are not the only ones…..

The TAMPA WOMAN’S CLUB is having a DOGGIE FASHION SHOW.. 9/27/09 from 1 to 4 pm. Entry fee – 1 dog $10 each additional dog $5.00
