My name is Olivia. My mom also calls me Oli Canoli… I’m a boxer breed and they say I’m almost 2 years old. My previous owners left me tied to a tree when they moved away… Yes tied to a tree! (Oh these humans). Then someone found me and brought me to the nice people at COASTAL BOXER RESCUEof FLORIDA.
There, I met my foster mom, Marty, who took really good care of me during my recuperation period…I only weighed about 23 pounds when they found me. I had heart-worms, fleas, ticks and god what else! (I was in very bad shape)… you name it I had it, but did I care? No much, I was to weak and sick to really care. I had a few vet visits and started to get better. My foster mom meanwhile was trying to make up her mind if I was staying with her or not. But, then my life changed when my real mom showed up. I hear she drove all the way from Tampa to come check me out… When she came in I barely had the energy to be exited about it, I was still to weak and just sat there and looked at her. I gave her my pretty eye look and well she had SUCKER written all over her forehead and I was adopted right then and there…Yes, she took me with the heart-worms and all.
A couple of weeks later, she came again to get me and I got to see my new digs. I got to my new home and nonna (that’s grandmom for those of you that do not know Italian - yes they speak Italian at this house!!) gave me lots of food. Nonna fed me up to six times a day and gave me the good stuff: chicken, meat, rice, carrots and I even got some liver! I’m now up to 59 pounds and when I sit you can count some rolls… nah just joking – I’m still pretty but more importantly, I’m a healthy girl now.
I decided to write a bit and tell you about my experiences with my new mom, Veronica who is the owner of Tailored Pet Sitting. I been suckered into becoming the poster model for the company! (with lots of treats as incentives) I think she said something like, “Olivia get your ass of the sofa and sit in front of the camera and earn your food!” So I now have a job! I plan to give you some good gossip about her company and the ins and outs of a pet sitter/dog walker!!! As well as talk about the other animals that I share my house with, the 4 cats (Cleo, Pinta, Zorra & Misa) and Franklin, my mom’s roommate dog, who is also a rescued dog too. I’m sure that between all of us (we are a pretty crazy bunch) we can keep you coming for some laughs.
